This non-profit organization has its historical foundations in the academic as well as personal suffering of Junaid due to constrained socio-economic background but that suffering was indeed the birth of philanthropic motives and a urge to pursue them in disguise for him. Back then in 2015, during the 8th grade I started with my first student who was an orphan learning in the 7th-grade, and now it has been almost 8 years and the legacy of the prophets(which was to teach the masses to stature their both mental and physical capabilities to the zenith of civilization without any personal interests) is at least being practiced so far that the “PROPHETIC PROFESSION” is now catering to the STEM related academic needs of the underprivileged and underrepresented students. Now with almost a dozen of teachers, we are trying our best to nurture the STEM education environment at an intermediate level in the society.
Our Mission:
Prophetic Profession is dedicated to transforming lives and shaping the future by providing high-quality STEM education and opportunities for students of all backgrounds. Our mission is to inspire, empower, and equip the next generation of innovators, problem solvers, and leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Moreover, being an anti-gender segregation organization, we allow all the men, women, and transgenders, gender neutral, non-binary, agender, pangender, genderqueer, two-spirit, third gender students , etc. to thrive to the zenith both academically and personally.
Programs and Activities:
1): Education and Outreach
a. STEM Clubs:
We establish and support STEM clubs in local schools, where students can explore their interests in various STEM disciplines through hands-on activities, experiments, and projects. These clubs provide a nurturing environment for students to collaborate, learn from each other, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Dozen of our students use to participate in the city’s annual Science Fair, domestic and national level Olympiads. Almost half a dozen of our students each year earns distinctions and awards in these contests.
b. Workshops and Camps:
We organize interactive workshops and summer camps with the help of benevolent academic and financial donors that offer immersive STEM experiences. These programs expose students to cutting-edge technologies, scientific principles, and engineering design processes. Through engaging activities, students develop a deep understanding of STEM concepts and gain practical skills.
c. Science Fairs and Competitions:
Apart from the national and domestic level STEM contests, we ourselves also arrange multiple science fairs and contests among the students at the Prophetic Profession bringing together students from different schools to showcase their innovative projects and research. These events foster healthy competition, encourage creativity, and provide a platform for students to present their findings to a broader audience.
2): Curriculum Development:
a. STEM Curriculum Enhancement:
We collaborate with educators and curriculum experts to enhance existing STEM curricula in schools. We provide resources, lesson plans, and training to teachers, ensuring they have the tools and support necessary to create engaging and rigorous STEM learning experiences.
b. Inclusive STEM Education:
We focus on promoting diversity and inclusivity in STEM education. We develop curriculum materials that highlight the contributions of underrepresented groups in STEM fields, providing students with role models and creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.
3): Scholarships and Grants:
a. STEM Scholarships:
We offer scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate a strong passion for STEM and exhibit academic excellence. These scholarships aim to alleviate financial barriers and enable talented students to pursue higher education in STEM fields. As our organization is not yet grown to the level of a college/university so our students who enrolls in any college/university or any other student, then we do our best to provide it with the maximum amount of scholarship.
Note: Financial assistance from our benevolent financers is received on our annual financial aid request, hence requesting and receiving the extra financial assistance may require some time from 1-2 months based on the funds needed, so kind students are requested to respect the procedure and observe patience regarding that.
b. Grants for Innovation:
We provide grants to schools and educators to support innovative STEM initiatives. These grants help schools establish well-equipped laboratories, acquire advanced equipment and technology, and implement unique educational projects that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Note: Only small village schools are provided these grants.
4): Professional Development:
a. Teacher Training Programs:
We offer professional development programs for educators, equipping them with the latest pedagogical techniques, resources, and strategies for effective STEM instructions. These programs foster a collaborative learning community among teachers and empower them to inspire and engage students in STEM subjects.
Note: These programs are only taught by our Ph.D partners upon their availability during the summer vacations.
5): Community Engagement:
a. Public Lectures and Events:
We organize public lectures, seminars, and panel discussions featuring renowned scientists, engineers, and STEM experts. These events aim to engage the wider community, raise awareness about the importance of STEM education, and inspire individuals of all ages to pursue their interests in these fields.
b. Science Outreach Programs:
We conduct science outreach programs in local communities, partnering with schools, libraries, and community centers. These programs involve interactive demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and science shows, sparking curiosity and excitement about STEM among children and adults alike.
Note: We used to conduct those events quarterly but after the COVID-19 we are facing the shortage of funds hence we have limited the numbers of these events to only annually.
Collaboration and Partnerships
We actively collaborate with educational institutions, government agencies, industry partners, and other non-profit organizations that share our vision and mission. These partnerships enable us to leverage resources, share best practices, and reach a broader audience, maximizing the impact of our programs.
Fundraising and Grants:
We rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations, and government grants to fund our initiatives. We engage in fundraising campaigns, grant applications, and sponsorship opportunities to secure the financial resources necessary to sustain and expand our programs. You may be able to see our permanent financial donors in the Donors section on our website.
Evaluation and Impact Measurement:
We continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and activities, employing both quantitative and qualitative measures. We collect data on student achievement, engagement, and career outcomes to assess the impact of our initiatives and identify areas for improvement. This data-driven approach helps us refine our programs and ensure we are meeting our goals.
